Hello and welcome to my first blog.

I am a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant.
In my 23 years in uniform I have ridden on a double decker bus in London, traveled the subways in Seoul, looked straight down into a geyser hole in Iceland, been in the Statue of Liberty, the Space Needle in Seattle, looked out over the Gulf Of Fonseca in Honduras, swam in the Persian Gulf near Dhahran, floated in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, shopped in Frankfurt, walked by a lighthouse on a cold rainy beach in Maine and seen Killer Whales from a ferry up the pan handle of Alaska.
I have hiked to glaciers in Iceland and Alaska.
I have hiked on the walls of a medieval castle in Suwon Korea.
I have been to Ely Cathedral and the Grand Canyon and the Yukon.
I have sunburned on Ft. Walton Beach and I have been snowed in on my honeymoon in the Smokey Mountains.
I have been to Estes Park and Yellowstone and Denali and Arches National Park.I have eaten lobster in Bangor, bulgogi in Seoul, goat in Kuwait City, drank a latte in Pioneer Square Seattle, eaten fried banana in Tegucigalpa Honduras, buffalo in Nebraska, a buffet in a Las Vegas casino, salmon in Seward Alaska, a plowman’s lunch in London, and a Boneless Porkchop MRE in Balad Air Base Iraq.

I have been to Ireland, Scotland, Okinawa, Panama, Sicily, and Crete.

My lovely wife and I have been married 23 years
We have two teen age kids.

I'm forty-eight years old. (I look thirty. I have “Dick Clark’s Syndrome”. When I was twenty five I looked like I was thirteen. These days I’m reaping the benefits. I’m forty-eight but I look thirty. Pretty cool.)

I wear bifocals.

I play the guitar.

I was one of the guys that invaded Iraq in 2003.
They figured I did such a great job that they sent me back in 2004.

I retired in 2005.

I dabble in writing short stories.

When I was a kid I got to shake Robert Kennedy's hand. He was campaigning through my town and gave a speech. After that he was standing on the back of a car shaking hands. I was on my Dad's shoulders and Robert Kennedy shook my hand.

I have been in four car accidents. (Two where I was driving.)

I write what looks like poetry but are actually song lyrics.

I have seen Jethro Tull in concert.

I prefer to write by hand in a notebook with a pen in cursive.

I have never broken a bone in my body.

And so… That’s it. Now you know me.

I remain...
